SPRING CLEANSE

In fitness, a lot of focus can be put on the end result.  Do you ever wonder if you could just FEEL better?  Sometimes a little break is just what the doctor ordered to get things moving again.  Have you ever tried a cleanse?  Believe me, it can be daunting.  There are a million formulas out there.  Apparently the colon is a popular place!
A cleanse once a year is a great way to reset your body.  Usually in January after 3 months of voracious eating over holidays is a good time, or right about now, before breaking out the bathing suit.  This is great for teens too.  Get the whole family involved!  Evaluate your concerns and see if one of these cleanses would be a good fit for you.
Some things to consider before getting embarking:

  • If buying organic is just not in the budget, when you buy produce, given it a good wash.  Here's how.
  • Wherever flaxseed is suggested, grind with a coffee grinder before eating in order to get the benefit from proper digestion
  • When talking about sugar, it is referring to ALL sugar, including honey, maple syrup, agave nectar etc. etc.
  • You can add chopped parsley or cilantro to salads, your eggs, sandwiches, that goes for other herbs and spices as well!  Add to your salad dressings, be creative!
  • A word about soy...if you are peri-menopause or in full menopause, consider another choice.  Refer to earlier post.
  • Start small.  When looking at changes, look to 30 day increments.  As you see and feel changes, you may want to prolong these changes.  Just remember, these tools can be used again and again!
Let me know if you decide you want to start, I'd love to encourage you!

Let's get started!
